Suggestion of considering 'Purple Nose Day' instead (of blue..) to build on the success of Wear purple for Kyoto day - February 16. Philralph 17:20, 24 Feb 2005 (GMT)

As one of those involved with the above mentioned 'wear purple for Kyoto day' I'd support that others give every consideration to riding on the wave and running with purple not blue - but I've also heard the the other side of that arguement and so fully support whatver colour nose day we al decide to run with!!

Worth considering that purple is probably the colour our noses would go naturally if we had breathing difficulty?! And that its easy to 'picture' a purple sky - quite a scary picture. The blue colour does not work as the sky is already blue (on a good day)

SO IN SHORT - MAKE IT WHATEVER COLOUR WORKS BEST TO CAPTURE THE POPULAR IMAGINATION BUT DONT LETS HAVE COMPETING COLOUR NOSE DAYS AND CONFUSE THE CARBON OUT OF PEOPLE!
