CREATIVE RISK EVENT - 14th July 2005 - Laban, London
This event, organised by the British Urban Regeneration Association and sponsored by Arts Council England, and being held at the lovely Laban dance centre - a Stirling Prize-winner designed by Herzog & de Meuron - will be quite extraordinary, including a low-tide wade in Deptford Creek to provide a different perspective on inner city life.
Creative thinker, Charles Landry will be using the conference to help him finish his book on 'The Art of City Making'. Nicholas Bradbury, Fellow in Leadership at the Kings Fund, will be running a provocative workshop about chaos in regeneration leadership, while Holly Donagh, Director of Resource Development at ACE will explore culture's role at the heart of regeneration. Various risk-takers will provide vignettes of their most spine-tingling moments and there will be opportunities to work collaboratively on different approaches to risk-sharing in regeneration. Lunch will be enlivened with a speech from Roger Lewis, the Chairman of the Berkeley Group. The slant of the event will depend on who comes - so please book now to be part of one of the year's most intriguing events! Phone 020 7539 4030 and ask for Tahirah or email firstname.lastname@example.org. NOTE: Delegate fees given on the flier are exclusive of VAT.
