Remove husks and wash. You may need to trim ends to fit into a pan.
Boil for around 8 mins. or a little less if really young and fresh.
With the butter and a little salt if desired.
Choose a small pan and break cobs in half to fit if only cooking a small quantity. Have the water only just boiling (too fierce also causes toughness)
