[edit] Key guidelines

You don't need to read every policy or guideline before you contribute! However, it's important to appreciate a few main policies and guidelines:

  1. Copyleft - Share and share alike - All Sustainable Community Action wiki text is published under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation Licence, which lets contributors enhance and modify each other's work based on a principle known as "copyleft." This means the licence allows third parties the right to reuse Sustainable Community Action wiki articles as long as they fully acknowledge the source and pass on that right to others.
  2. Neutral Point of View - Avoid bias. Articles should be written from a neutral point of view, representing differing views on a subject fairly and sympathetically.
  3. Respect other contributors - Contributors come from many different countries and cultures, and have widely different views. Be courteous and assume good faith. Treating others with respect is key to effective collaboration
  4. Check out Boundaries - See also project:What SCA is not

[edit] Signing edits

It is good Wikiquette to sign your comments on talk pages, but generally articles, help pages, policies, and other content pages should not be signed.

To sign your name, type ~~~~. You can use three tildes (~~~) if you don't want a timestamp, or five (~~~~~) if you only want a timestamp.
